Description
The Benzie County Equalization Department serves as a liaison between the County Board of Commissioners and the State Tax Commission by conducting statutory annual equalization of property tax assessments to create uniformity among the various taxing jurisdictions within the County. The Equalization Department is responsible for the maintenance and printing of assessment rolls, issuing addresses for 911 purposes, and parcel mapping.
