Description

The Benzie County Equalization department serves as a liaison between the County Board of Commissioners and the State Tax Commission by conducting statutory annual equalization of property tax assessments to create uniformity among the various taxing jurisdictions within the County. The Equalization Department is responsible for the maintenance and printing of assessment rolls, issuing addresses for 911 purposes, and parcel mapping.

Fees:

  • Aerial photos:
    • 8 1/2" x 11” – $1.00
    • 36 “ x 36” – $10.00

  • Copies – $0.50/page

  • Realtor summary sheets – $1.00

  • Emails – $1.00 per attachment

  • Faxes – $3.00 for the first page plus $1.00 for each additional page

  • Digital parcel information – $0.015/parcel (rounded down) plus; whole county add $10.00; part of county add $20.00

  • GIS Parcel polygon layer — $0.05 per parcel (minimum purchase township). Approximately $970 for the entire county.

  • GIS Address point layer — $0.05 per address point (minimum purchase township). Approximately $710 for the entire county.
